Meet Amador County Library's Mascot!

Meet Booker T. Wormington:

A contest was held recently to help name the Amador Library's new mascot. The winning name was chosen by the Library's distinguished panel of judges as being the most clever, witty and well-thought-out. The Grand Prize winner, Alexis Stephens has had her name posted to the front page as the winning author and received a $25 gift certificate for Books and Beyond donated by the Amador County Friends of the Library. Prizes  were also awarded for second and third place. Our winners are as follows:

1st place, Grand Prize:  Alexis Stephens - "BOOKER T. WORMINGTON" 
$25.00 gift certificate to Books & Beyond

2nd place: Kalen Jennings - "ED. U. CATED" 
$15.00 gift certificate to Wal-Mart

3rd place: Jerry Gonsalves - "RODAMA" 
$10.00 gift certificate to Coast to Coast

We would like to thank all those who entered the Name the Mascot Contest, you all had great entries and made it very difficult on the judges! We would also like to thank the Amador County Friends of the Library who donated prizes for the contest.
